UCO finds mentions of Pedro Sánchez in report on health contracts in the Balearic Islands

The UCO delivered a report to the National Court about the contracting of medical supplies in the Balearic Islands under Armengol, which includes chats and messages that indirectly mention Pedro Sánchez and dealings with Ábalos and Illa; there are also references linked to the professional activity of Begoña Gómez.

The UCO has delivered to the el Juzgado Central de Instrucción nº 2 a 192-page report with conclusions on the caso Mascarillas para los no aforados that investigates awards of medical supplies in the Balearic Islands.

In the report the investigation reproduces intercepted chats where Koldo García Izaguirre asks if “Pedro solved it for you” and Armengol replies “Pedro saw it as fine,” allegedly referring according to the report to Pedro Sánchez.

The document also includes messages that link conversations about the purchase of tests with José Luis Ábalos and communications from regional officials during the pandemic, as reflected on the pages cited by the UCO.

Additionally, the UCO notes that the professional activity of Begoña Gómez, the president’s wife, appears in other judicial writings related to the investigation into health contracts under the mandate of Francina Armengol in the Balearic Islands.
